Music of the Episcopal Church

Our current hymnal is called "The Hymnal 1982".  Even though it has 1982 is part of the name, the hymnal didn't appear until some time in 1985.   The hymnal was approved by General Convention in 1982.  At the bottom of this section there will be links to several hymns so that you can hear what our hymnals sound like.  There will, also, be links to the full hymnal online in both written and audio.

Music of Trinity Episcopal Church

Trinity Episcopal Church has a long tradition of  providing quality music for the enhancement of the worship service.

Worship music is provided at our 10:15 a.m. service and our 6:00 p.m. service on Sunday.

At our 10:15 a.m. service music is provide by our Choir and their Director, Carolyn Anderson, who is, also, the organist.  The choir is made up of both adults and young teens. And, rehearses on Wednesday nights check out the Calendar of Events for more details. The choir sings a wide variety of music and  is always looking and welcoming new choir members!  A music background is helpful but not required.

Carolyn Anderson's education includes: B.S. in Music from Middle Tennessee State University; Masters of Music Education from University of Georgia; and, Ed. S.from University of Georgia.

Our very fine 11 rank Baroque pipe organ was installed in 1976 by Holtkamp Organ Company of Cleveland, Ohio.

At our 6:00 p.m. service music is a bit more contemporary by using "Praise and Worship Music" with instrumentation of Guitars and sometimes keyboard and/or drums.  The Music Director for this service is Andy Couch.
